HOW TO FIND
HAPPINESS & FULFILLMENT IN THE JOB YOU DO?

MOTIVATED BY AVOIDANCE
What motivates you to move jobs will have a direct impact on the role you attract. The reason you are wanting to change jobs in the first place is that you are unhappy with something in your current role. When your focus is on what you want to move away from, instead of what you want to move towards, it can have an adverse effect. This is a much more empowering space to focus your attention, meaning you can attract the right opportunity. What you resist will pesist.

NO "NON-NEGOTIABLE" LIST
What are your needs that must be met in order for a job or organisation to meet your criteria? That's an important question for you to know ahead of time! You'll have things that are "nice to have", but what are your non-negotiables? The things that are important to you which you can not compromise. It's ok to have those things, as you've got to do this job day in day out. If that is important to you then it needs to be on your non-negotiable list. Because if not, you'll end up regretting taking the job and not holding out or something better. Never let anyone define what you're capable of by using parameters that don't apply to you.

DON'T KNOW YOUR WORTH
The only way to nail a job interview is to be rememberable. In a good way of course! You want the interviewer to know how amazing you are and for that, you must get comfortable in selling them on you being the one for the role. So, give them a sense of what value you have added in past roles and what you can bring to this one. That quiet confidence will win every time. When you under value what you do, the world will under value who you are.

MISALIGNMENT IN VALUES
Finding the right job is a two-way process, but so often we treat it as if it's one way, with the employer having the upper hand. That kind of dynamic in any relationship isn't healthy or sustainable for you to maximize your potential. Have you ever wondered why you feel so strongly about being kind to people or sharing your view in a discussion? It's because it feels like the right thing to do. They are part of your value system, which is your driving force and moral compass in life.

LIMITING THE FUTURE
When you want to do something different in your career, what do you automatically look at to help guide you on what could be next? You'll probably look at your experience to date and determine what is possible from there. Your past does not define your future unless you allow it.
