I was good at my job. A respected Talent Resourcing Partner role at FOX, one of the biggest names in home entertainment. I had the title, the salary, the Mercedes, the house in the country, the designer bags and the holidays. I had worked hard, built credibility and created the kind of life I thought success was meant to look like.
Nothing was dramatically wrong. But something was not right either. I could feel I was slightly off track, and off is off. I did not know whether I wanted to keep climbing or do something different, and because I could not see another clear option, I stayed. I told myself this was just how life worked. But underneath it, I felt the sadness of imagining another 10 years on a path that no longer felt right.
